What will I do?

If you choose to register for the weekday classroom course, you will receive a Student Material Package with a hard copy manual. The open water manual consists of 5 chapters, each chapter followed by a Knowledge Review to be completed prior to each class. The in class sessions will be dedicated to the instruction and review of these chapters. Once your instructor has determined that you have a full understanding of each chapter, it’s time to go diving! Classes are held Tuesday or Thursday from 6pm-9pm

If you choose to register for the On-Line / Weekend course you will receive your On-Line Course Code via email. Now you are ready to begin learning in the comfort of your own home! Once you have completed all the on-line academics, there will be a consultation session and then off to the pool. With the convenience of our indoor, custom built, saltwater pool just steps away from the classroom, you’ll have 10 hours of pool time to practice and perfect the skills you’ve learned. Extra Pool time is available if needed. Pool sessions are held two Saturdays each month from 11am to 5pm or you can choose 4 Tuesdays from 6pm-9pm. Please check our calendar for dates that work.

What will I need?

For your Open Water course you will need to provide your own personal gear, consisting of mask, snorkel, boots & fins. If you do not own your own gear, students of the London Scuba Centre will receive a 10% discount on any gear purchased for the course. Some of the other benefits of purchasing gear from the London Scuba Centre is the convenience of exchange during the course if the gear does not fit properly.
